2007: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

At the February 2007 AGM the band nominated the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Norfolk & Norwich Hospital as the band charity for 2007-2008. Our aim was to raise enough to buy a new sofa for the parents and visitors room.

The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is a specialist Level 3 intensive care unit with 28 cots for babies born prematurely. Babies may be in intensive care, high dependency or the special care areas of the unit. The unit receives babies from across the region and further a field and our NICU staff care for more than 700 babies a year.

The band have now finished collecting for the NICU. Thanks to everyone who contributed - band members, friends, family and everyone who came to our concerts. It all helped and we reached our target. A photo of the band can now be viewed in the visitors room of the NICU.
